Female Cosmetic Rhinoplasty:
Before & After Photos

Surgeries performed by facial plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Compton, Troy, MI

Case #3606

This young woman was having difficulty breathing after a nasal fracture and was found to have a significantly deviated septum. She also was not happy with the overall convex appearance to her profile.

She had an open approach rhinoplasty with septoplasty, and profile realignment. During her preoperative imaging we found that she had a pseudo-hump as well a true dorsal hump. Therefore, the profile was corrected using a radix graft, hump reduction, with tip elevation and rotation to provide the significant improvement in appearance. A less experienced surgeon may have only removed the bump but this would have brought the bridge of her nose down too low to the face. This would have left a scooped appearance on the side view and washed out appearance to the nose on the front view.
