What is a Chin Augmentation?

Chin augmentation, medically known as genioplasty, is a facial plastic surgery procedure that targets bony chin enlargement using a solid implant that sits on the natural bone structure of the chin to push the chin forward permanently. Dr. Compton prefers solid silicone implants because they are permanent, completely inert in the body, and have very minimal complications. Solid silicone will not create any immune reaction (unlike what can happen with ruptured silicone gel breast implants). Dr. Compton uses chin implants from Implantech, which offer a wide variety of sizes and shapes to suit patients’ needs. During your consultation, Dr. Compton will assess your needs,, and together, you will select an implant that creates the look you want. During the surgery, Dr. Compton will make a small, inconspicuous incision under the chin and expertly insert the implant, securing it to the bone for a permanen,t, stable jawline enhancement. This procedure is highly effective for enhancing jawline definition and creating a harmonious facial profile.
